HEB Center at Cedar Park

Gray Engineering prepared the civil site plans for the 5,000+-seat HEB Center at Cedar Park located north of New Hope Road and west of US 183A in Cedar Park, Texas. The project scope of work included evaluation and site planning for several locations.
The project schedule required close coordination with City of Cedar Park staff, project architects, and construction team members. The project included preliminary site layout plans, utility connections, drainage design and site grading plans. The firm designed two water quality and stormwater detention ponds to handle the runoff from the large surface parking area for 2,700 cars.
Riata Retail Center consists of a single 16,600 square foot commercial/retail building that includes market and restaurant site pads on a 2.5-acre site located off Riata Parkway in the Riata Apartment community in North Austin.
This retail site was heavily wooded and required detailed layout of parking islands and drive aisles, along with tree wells to preserve as many of the trees as possible. Gray Engineering provided tree mitigation calculations as well as mitigation and approval for closure by TCEQ.
Site grading required a step-down slab with pedestrian accessible ramp to the public right of way. The site plan also included a drive-up ATM machine, which required strategic mobility access and traffic planning.
Seton Southwest Healthcare Center
Gray Engineering worked with a national architect on the feasibility study and site development plan for a new regional hospital facility located in southwest Austin at the intersection of US 290 and FM 1826. This facility included an emergency room, hospital facility and a medical office building. The site development includes design plans for the medical buildings, associated parking, a water quality and detention pond, and site grading that included future expansion areas. This site is located in the Edwards Aquifer Contributing Zone and was subject to the additional requirements of the TCEQ for water quality and wastewater collection systems.
Gray Engineering prepared the site development plans for the Phase 2 expansion that included a Medical Office Building and associated parking. Gray also provided construction phase services on this expansion project.
